PCSSL Coaches
Welcome to PCSSL! The links below should give you a good start on what you need to know to be successful in this league.
Note: PCSSL is a step above the usual "Core" AYSO season. Our games tend to be a bit more competitive, and also the expectations of the coaches are somewhat higher. This is not a big step (any of you who have had a successful "Core" season are likely more than ready for our level), but this is enough of a step up that it can trip those who don't recognize the differences.
Since PCSSL spans more than two dozen different regions it is almost certain that we do not do things the same way your local region does... Please, take the time to read the documentation. Most common frustrations can usually be traced back to outdated expectations -- avoid those traps, do your homework and be prepared. Ask your questions ahead of time. Finally, a word of advice: do reach out and become at least somewhat familiar with your fellow volunteers helping to run your local region, many of these folks have a wealth of experiences and ideas that will help you have a more successful season in PCSSL.
